•••Field Play•••

I hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! I am finally getting around to blogging something this week...sorry if things have been a bit boring lately! Last weekend we celebrated the holiday with some of our closest friends at a near by lake. It had been awhile since everyone was together so it was nice to catch up, ride on the boat, play games, and kick back with a glass of wine or two (maybe three).

Just before we left, I had received a lens I had ordered for an event this upcoming weekend a little early. At the last second, I decided to bring my camera and new lens up to get a feel for it. I was so glad too...while practicing, I caught these few fun moments of Justen and our friend's daughter, Miss H, playing with daffodils

Ahhh...so sweet... :)

•••Variety Hour•••

On Sunday morning I met the D family at a new park in Suwanee. It was time for Miss E's nine month photo session and Miss A had just turned 2. So we met for a few hours and did a combination of 9 month pics, 2 year pics, and some family photos. It was so much fun just following the D family around. We hung out by the picnic tables, fed some geese, played in the water (thank you to the stranger who warned me the waterfall was turning on...that could have been bad!!), and then headed over the the playground.
Miss E has started to stand and travel...
...and of course it is so much fun!
They had the most adorable outfits. And I loved the big matching bows in their hair. So girly and so fun!

Thanks D Family and see you in a few months!

•••Shhh...It's A Surprise•••

On Saturday afternoon, I met a very special family for a shoot. A few months ago Mrs. A contacted me about doing a shoot with her and her sisters families. They were all going to be in town together this weekend so it was the perfect time. The purpose of the shoot is so sweet. They want to surprise their parents with the photos as a thank you for all their love and support over the years. It was so refreshing to hear about someone giving a "just because" gift. :)
Baby G was so sweet. Only three months old and look at all that hair! I loved her big sparkly eyes...
Such a cute father/daughter moment between Mr. A and Miss S.
Two more just for them...

•••Just A Reminder: Copyright and Web Files•••

Okay, time to get serious for a moment. In light of an event that occurred earlier this week, I just wanted to put a reminder out there to make sure you protect the digital files you have purchased or received from AFS. Posting photos online on your personal web space (i.e. blog, Facebook page, personal website, etc.) is allowed with written permission (your signed release), but please please please remember to post that these photos were taken by AFS. By doing so you are placing a warning to others that these are protected, copyrighted photos. As much as the Internet is a great place, sometimes you get the occasional weirdo lurker who might not have the best of intentions.

Upon request, web sized files are available for those who wish to share their personal photos online. Web sized files are sized and formatted for the Internet so not only will they look better online than your hi-res files, but also have a copyright identifier built in.

If you guys have any questions regarding your digital files and how they may be used please feel free to leave a comment below or shoot me an email. Thank you!

•••Lil Sis•••

Not done with Berry College just yet. While up there I also conned my little sister, Kelley, into taking a few photos. Little did her boyfriend know that he was also going to be part of the fun. :)
Kelley and Chris...such a good sport!

Can you tell they were so excited they were done for the year?

•••Back to School•••

As I mentioned earlier, I had gone up to Berry College for a photo shoot. BC is beautiful and will always hold a special place in my heart. When I learned that I was going to hold the shoot on Berry's campus, Justen and I decided to make a day of it. Both my sister and his brother attend Berry currently so we thought we might be able to catch up with them some. Then we decided that Beau and Bella might be behaved enough to visit this time as well...maybe.

Everything for the most part went according to plan. I arrived just in time to start the photo shoot early (the skies were darkening quick so we pushed the shoot forward two hours), and we went our separate ways until the shoot was finished. Justen took the Terrible Twosome towards main campus awaiting my little sister Kelley to arrive as back-up help...on the ride up he remembered he might need assistance as Beau has an over zealous addiction to squirrels and Bella has a freak obsession with mud puddles. She was smart enough to grab her boyfriend Chris figuring the more help the better their chances of survival. In the end apparently, there was only one casualty lost to the mud puddle.

After about an hour and a half, I met back up with everyone and we decided to drive around campus to take a few photos before dinner. Here we are at the Ford Complex and you can see that the clouds were looking ominous.

We drove up to Mountain Campus and visited the Old Mill. Added: Justen would like it to be known that he actually took this photo...oops, I am sorry... He took this masterpiece. Great job husband. Your work is flawless. Magnificent. Extraordinary! Okay, satisfied? Moving on...

Next up, Swan Lake.
I was surprised at how close that some of the animals would let us get to them!

Well, not all of the animals. These geese did not like us near their goslings. We pretty much hopped out of the car, snapped a few pictures, and jumped right back in. We had seen a goose attack before and it isn't pretty.

Here is Frost Chapel. This is where Justen and I got married last spring. We had to take this one quickly from the car. Tornado sirens were going off like crazy and the campus police were telling everyone to take cover. Yikes!

Our next two hours we spent in Kelley's on campus townhome taking cover from the bad storms. Nothing says adventure more than four people and two muddy dogs being locked in a small confined space, right? After the storms passed, we did the only thing we knew to do...celebrate our survival with hamburgers, french fries, and milkshakes. :)

Berry College...ah, the memories. :)

•••Senior Rep•••

This super gorgeous girl is Miss C. Miss C is graduating in a few weeks and we met up at Berry College to take some senior photos. I was a little nervous the morning of our shoot because the sky looked quite ominous, and we had waited so long to schedule this shoot, but thankfully the rain storms predicted for the day held off. I would have hate
d to miss out on this shoot - not only was I finally getting to meet Miss C, but we were going to visit the campus that I attended for four years as well as got married at. To say I was excited about the day was an understatement. Once the shoot started I was immediately at ease. Miss C had such a wonderful personality and she was the perfect model.  Here are just a few of my early favorites from our shoot.

•••Just One...•••

...for now!
Check back soon for more on Miss C!

•••Baby H is Here!•••

I thought I would introduce you guys to Miss H. Miss H arrived a few weeks ago and is the beautiful daughter of our best friends. The morning after Justen and I arrived back in the country, I made my way to the P family's house with my camera. Even though Miss H was already two weeks old she was still the perfect little squishy sleepy baby. I was also excited to see that miss H's mom, CB, made the most adorable flower headbands for her girls. CB is the owner of HipChick Designs and I am continually amazed by her creativity. Here are some of my early favorites of the mini shoot I had with Miss H.
I am so in love with her cute little dimpled cheeks and all of her hair!
One of the big sis! She was so sweet holding her little sister. You can tell she is going to love having Baby H all to herself. :)
