•••Happy Birthday Miss Annabelle!•••

Does everyone remember this cutie from a few months ago ("Meet Miss "A")? With that cute face and those AWESOME blue eyes I am sure you certainly do! :) Well it was Miss Annabelle's first birthday this past weekend and I was lucky enough to be a part of it! It was a cupcake themed party and Miss Annabelle looked as cute as ever. I loved that she even found the perfect outfit for the occasion and that her main color was pink! Those of you who know me know how I love me some pink. :)
Look at her adorable smash cake!
Miss Annabelle wasn't too sure about the cake at first but with a little persuading from mom and dad she delicately sampled its frosty goodness. Such a lady! If only I could have such restraint...

Tons of Miss Annabelle's friends and family showed up to help her celebrate. This girl knows how to throw a party!

Ah...the ball pit. All of Annabelle's friends had a blast in the ball pit, but Miss "H" here was the champ. I didn't get to capture a picture of it, but every time she went into the ball pit she would flip head first over the side and "swim" down to the very bottom...
...and when she would come up her hair would look like this. :)
Time for presents! Miss Annabelle got so many cute gifts it almost made me want to be one again. She even got a Cabbage Patch Doll...this was my favorite toy growing up. Ah, the memories...

Happy Birthday Miss Annabelle!!

•••The "H" Family Preview•••

Here is another cute family! The "H" family met me for a fun session at one of my favorite spots, the Smyrna Village. Young Mr. "H" was so interested in all of the plants and animals around. His favorite was throwing acorns to the fish. He didn't feel so great at the beginning of the day, but he was a trooper and showed me his best smiles. Such a cutie patootie! :) Hope you guys enjoy the "H" family's preview!

•••The Wild Wild West•••

Last week, Justen and I headed out to Arizona for a long weekend with some friends. We were so excited! We have both been working non-stop lately and this was going to be a great break...well we both worked while on the trip, but working is much better when it is in a fun exciting new city, right?

Phoenix is like no other city I have ever been before. We flew for a long time and saw nothing but desert, but you go over a small mountain pass and you have this...a big huge city.
One of our main reasons for going to Arizona was the Georgia game versus Arizona State University (insert your best "GO DAWGS!" here). We were surprised at how many people came to support UGA. There were tons of red and black every where we went! Here is a pic of Justen and I at the ASU stadium. Let me just say it was one of the neatest stadiums I have been to - they built the stadium into a mountain - but it was also one of the hottest. That whole dry heat thing went right out the window the minute we walked in. Temperatures were over a hundred and the mountains blocked any breeze from making it in. I think this is all part of ASU's plot to win...if their opponents can't play due to heat stroke then they win! Too bad the Dawgs are used to heat and humidity! Here is the team celebrating and thanking fans after their big win!
Sunday after the game was an eventful day. We had a whole day to explore before our red eye flight out. As a group we decided to immerse ourselves in the culture of Arizona. So we strapped on our chaps and boots and headed out to brave the desert...
First stop - Gold Field Ghost Town. It was everything we had dreamed it would be. :)
Justen was carousing and boozing a little too much so the good people of Gold Field locked him up. I think he is a continuous violator of rule #1...maybe I shouldn't have bailed him out. Nah, I gotta have someone to pick up dog poop out of our yard. :)
Oh yes, I do love my boozing carousing complaining outlaw!Next up - Canyon Lake. We were shocked that with all that desert to find an oasis. On the fit will survive to see it though...the road to enjoy these cooling blue waters is very long and curvy. I can't even think about it with out getting nauseous again.
Last Stop - The Phoenix Botanical Gardens.
Hmm, you might ask "Well, what could possibly be in a botanical garden in the desert?" The answer -cactus! Lots and lots and LOTS of cacti. We probably saw hundreds of different kinds.
Here are some cacti with holy mountain. Not really sure what the mountain was named but I named it holy because well it had holes. :)
I am not sure what the obsession was, but when you see a cactus you just want to touch it. I know crazy right? But we all did it numerous times until...
...I got stuck with one. Yes, now I understand why there are numerous signs all over the place saying "stay on the path" and "don't touch the cactus". I have learned my lesson and now know not to venture off the path and pretend to be sitting on a cactus for a picture. Trust me, not worth it.

Overall, Arizona was a blast! We had so much fun with our friends and fellow fans, and we loved the different atmosphere that Arizona offered. We almost hated to leave. Almost. It is nice to be back in Georgia where the air is cooler and the plant life can't maim you. Ah, home sweet home.

•••The "B" Family Preview•••

I have been a bad little blogger lately! I just got back from vacation (will post pictures later) so today will be a catch up day! :) Meet the "B" family. A few weekends ago we met at their house to do some family portraits. The girls looked so pretty in their matching outfits...and if you look closely even their doll has a matching outfit. Love it! Mom and dad better watch out for these two little blonde cuties!!
This picture just cracked me up when I was reviewing the session. Children are so funny sometimes and they don't even realize it. It looks as though Miss H is thinking "Geez, are they really kissing AGAIN? Eww!". :)
Now that all that yucky kissing is done...

This one has those baby fever juices flowing again. :) I just can't help it. I love a baby girl in a Hip Chicks flower hat. It is my weakness...

•••Lake Time FUN!•••

It was a family affair last weekend for me. This is my cousin Mrs. E and her beautiful family. When she learned that I had started up At First Sight she asked if I could take a few pictures of her and her family at the lake. I was so delighted! She and her family are so sweet and her children are the most behaved children I know (although Mrs. E and her husband have a drastically different opinion). :) I had tons of fun and would do it again in a heart beat!
It was a beautiful morning at the lake, and the location that they picked was perfect! The funniest thing though there were literally hundreds of ducks. There were brown ducks, green headed ducks, and speckled ducks with bright red beaks! And these ducks had no fear...they would walk right up to you looking for food. Little Mr. C and Miss R had such a fun time playing with the ducks.

Mr. C was so good during the shoot that my cousin and her husband let him play in the water before we left...
...and Miss R was ready to play too! :)
