•••The M Family: Part 2 | Atlanta, GA Family Photographer•••
As promised, here is the second part of the M family shoot. Mr. K and his adorable parents might look familiar. :) It was time for K's six month photos so we combined everything into one. As always I loved photographing K. I didn't think it was at all possible, but he had gotten even more smiley from the last time I saw him. He is such a fun loving little guy and everything makes him giggle. I learned from his mommy what makes him laugh the loudest though...a big sneeze. It worked every time! It was so funny listening to all of us "sneeze"! :) Here are a few photos from the Georgia M's session...
He thought this Easter bunny was so fun to play with. It was cute to watch him hug, kiss, and of course beat up his bunny. :)
P.S. - I noticed the K also sticks his tongue out when excited. How cute that both cousins do it! :)

•••Green Is The New Black | Atlanta, GA Photographer•••
Happy Earth Day everyone! To celebrate Earth Day I thought we could share with each other what some of our earth saving tips are. Having a younger sister who is an Environmental Scientist, conservation is continually drilled to us. So in our house we do whatever we can to do our part (and to not suffer the evil glares from little sis). Here are a few of my favorites that we take part in:
(1) Recycling - It's easy and comes right to our door. :) If you don't have recycling service, I found this directory for local recycling centers.
(2) Planting - This time of year flowers and trees are blooming and are so pretty. We have been gardening fools here lately. My sister had passed along The Arbor Day Foundation website to me before we moved into our new house, and I was so excited to learn that with a membership you get 10 free trees!! They have a great selection and also do lots of promotions. It's a great organization to donate to, and who doesn't love free? :)
(3) Reading - I love to read, but I noticed that between the amount of books, magazines, and catalogues I was reading each week it was a lot of paper goods. Slowly, I have started trying to read more e-books and e-magazines. Also, I participate in an online book exchange. My friend Alison shared the PaperBack Swap site to me awhile ago, and it has been great so far. They have tons of children's books and DVDs on there as well.
Now it's your turn...What are some of your favorite Earth saving tips?

•••The M Family: Part 1 | Atlanta, GA Family Photographer•••
On Easter weekend, I got a chance to hang out with the entire M family. M's from all over the country were in town so we planned a series of shoots with each part of the family. It was so fun to meet the M's that I hadn't met yet! First up were the M's from Houston. Baby A was so cute and didn't know what to think of me at first. Then his Abuela (hope I spelled that right M's) came into the room and he lit up. After that he was all smiles and giggles for us. Grandma's always have the right touch. :)
Mommy could make him smile too. :)
Since the weather was so pretty we decided to take the shoot outside. A thought the grass was so funny. I started to notice that when A got excited he would stick his tongue out...so cute!
Okay next up for this M family mini series is the Georgia M's. Check back later for their sneak peek...
And just for fun, one of former baby M and her new hubby. :)

•••Two | Atlanta, GA Photographer•••
Two years...on Monday, the Husband and I celebrated our two year wedding anniversary. The day started like any other...we woke up, fought over who would get into the shower first, got ready for work and headed our separate ways. We knew it was our anniversary and had planned to try to get dinner that night before Justen flew out of town for work. Nothing special.
At 7:24a.m., I raced around the house in a panic (Justen won the shower battle) making sure I grabbed everything I needed for the day before heading out the door. Just as I was visualizing what my plan of attack would be for the morning rush hour, I saw our of the corner of my eye a package with my name on it. Justen, who most wouldn't call a romantic guy, had gotten me a present and not one, but two cards! And he wrote that he made reservations for dinner at a restaurant called Canoe and he would be in town for the night. I was shocked!
The whole hour and forty-five minute commute to work I had a big smile on my face. All day I was excited, and didn't let the fact that I might be eating marinated cow brains or roasted squid liver bother me (I exaggerate. I'm a super picky eater and Canoe is known for delicious game dinners. I am more of a plain chicken and potato girl, but I digress.).
Once we sat down to dinner to celebrate, we began to reminisce. We just couldn't believe how quickly the last two years had flown by! Caught up in the moment, Justen decided that he would like to make a toast. We ordered some wine, clinked our glasses, and then Justen said the most romantic words...
"Here's to an amazing two years of marriage so far, and an amazing two more."
Hmmm...
I had to laugh. So we will have a long happy four years together. :) I knew what he meant (I hope). Neither one of us have been known to be very eloquent at the more romantic moments of our relationship. So I toasted him back, and we had such a fun dinner together.
Thank you husband for planning such a wonderful surprise and making our two year anniversary super special! Love you bunches!

•••Miss I | Atlanta, GA Family Photographer•••
Yay! A few weeks ago, it was time for Miss I's six month shoot. She is growing up so fast!! She has just enough hair for cute little bows, and has a big cute smile with a few teeth poking through. I loved watching her laugh and smile because she gets so excited that her little face squishes up first before she lets out her little giggles. So cute! For the first part of our shoot we took a few shots at Miss I's home, and then later we headed to a location close by for some fun outdoor shots. We had planned our date for what we thought would be a nice Spring day, but it was a little chillier than we had anticipated. The D family were troupers though and modeled their fun spring clothes with big warm smiles on their faces. Here is a peek at our session together...

More on the D family and Miss I tomorrow!
•••The S Family | Marietta, GA Family Photographer•••
A few weekends ago, I met the S family to celebrate their newest member turning three months. We were all so excited because the afternoon that we chose was actually the first sign that Spring was here to stay. I had such a fun time with the S family playing in all of the sunshine. Here is a quick sneak peek of our afternoon together...
I love three month babies and their cute little faces. They are just coming into their little personalities and learning their expressions.
Starting to get sleepy. After a full afternoon Baby S decided he might need a nap. No worries though, even sleepy he was super cute. :)

•••Miss A | Atlanta, GA Senior Photographer•••
This is the beautiful Miss A. I have known A since she was just a toddler, and when I was going through her proofs I couldn't believe how grown up she is now. These photos are actually from a session we did together at the tail end of last fall. Her older brother is a Senior this year and after taking some photos of him, we thought it would be fun for Miss A to get in front of the camera as well. She was such a natural and we had so much fun together. I have to admit I was kind of jealous of A and seeing her proofs...when I was thirteen I definitely did not look this beautiful. In fact, any portraits that exist of me during that time period I think I have hidden away in a dark dark place somewhere never to be seen. Ever. :) Here a few of my favorites from our session...

•••The Dash: Photos | Atlanta Photographer•••
As many of you faithful blog readers know, last month I participated in the Diabetes Dash event last month in Atlanta. Due to a last minute injury, the public was not able to witness my amazing running ability (darn!), but my mom and I did participate in the 1 mile event. Several of my team members did participate in the 5k and did an amazing job! Thank you to all those who came out to support our team or the cause. To view some photos of the Diabetes Dash event click here. I think there are a few photos of our team and some individual members in there. :)

•••Introducing Baby C | Woodstock, GA Newborn Photographer•••
Yea, Baby C is here! :) A few weeks ago C made his first public appearance (after making his anxious parents wait almost a full extra week), and I was so excited when I met the S family for his first photo shoot. I was even more excited that they let me dress him up in whatever I wanted and even let him rock the faux hawk. :) C was such an awesome model and I could have shared almost every photo we took as my favorite, but I narrowed it down to just these few to share with you guys. Enjoy Baby C's preview!
C not only smiles while he sleeps...he also giggles! Cutest. Thing. Ever!!! :)
I love sleeping babies...
...and their baby feet!
Before you leave, C would like to do a quick PSA for his daddy... :)
Congrats S family! See you soon C!
